Greetings from the Peace Pilgrim Center!

Wishing You Great Blessings

“I do my work easily and joyously. I feel beauty all around me and I see beauty in everyone I meet, for I see God in everything. I recognize my part in the Life Pattern and I find harmony through gladly and joyously living it. I recognize my oneness with all mankind and my oneness with God. My happiness overflows in loving and giving toward everyone and everything.

For light I go directly to the Source of light, not to any of the reflections. Also I make it possible for more light to come to me by living up to the highest light I have. You cannot mistake light coming from the Source, for it comes with complete understanding so that you can explain it and discuss it. I recommend that way to all who can take it. And great blessings lie in store for those who are wise enough to quickly put into practice the highest light that comes to them.”       Peace Pilgrim

We wish you Light, Love and Peace,

Greetings from the Peace Pilgrim Center!

We receive many inquiries about how people can help us in their own communities. We are encouraging the development of grass-roots peace gatherings.

A grass-roots peace organization can bring people together to explore the current world situation and take a positive course of action. We are hearing from people who would like to connect with others who suport peace. If you are already in such a group or would like to start one, please, email to Kathy or Eton at peacepilgrim@d-web.com

For Peace Pilgrim's thoughts on grass-roots peace activity see pages 31 & 32 in "Steps Toward Inner Peace".

We have started a group at the Peace Pilgrim Center. A group can select any suitable location. The size of the group is not important. Getting started is important!

At our first meeting it became apparent that peace groups would have a stronger voice if they were united. We are exploring ideas on how to help make this happen. We invite your comments.

PEACE IS AN IDEA WHOSE TIME HAS COME
Let's work together to assist the emergence of that peace.

We wish you peace,
Friends of Peace Pilgrim

Greetings from the Peace Pilgrim Center

Since the 11th of September, we daily receive an increase of phone calls and email. Many request quantities of “Steps Toward Inner Peace”. Others just want to talk. Many ask, “What Can I do?” Now is a good time to seek your special place in the life pattern. Each one of us has a unique role to play.

Here are some thoughts from Peace Pilgrim:

When I ended my first cross-country walk, I felt so thankful that I had not failed to do what I had been called to do. I either said or thought to myself ‘Isn’t it wonderful what God can do through me!’”

“You have a part in the scheme of things. What that part is you can know only from within yourself. You can seek it in receptive silence. You can begin to live in accordance with it by doing all the good things you are motivated toward and giving these things priority in your life over all the superficial things that customarily occupy human lives.”

Often we are asked … What would Peace Pilgrim do in our present world situation?

She says on page 26 in the “Steps Toward Inner Peace”:

Negative vs Positive: I have chosen the positive approach – instead of stressing the bad things which I am against, I stress the good things which I am for. Those who choose the negative approach dwell on what is wrong, resorting to judgment and criticism, and sometimes even to name-calling. Naturally, the negative approach has a detrimental effect on the person who uses it, while the positive approach has a good effect. When evil is attacked, it mobilizes, although it may have been weak and unorganized before, and therefore the attack gives it validity and strength. When there is no attack but instead good influences are brought to bear upon the situation, not only does the evil tend to fade away, but the evil-doer tends to be transformed. The positive approach inspires – the negative approach makes angry. When you make people angry they act in accordance with their baser instincts, often violently and irrationally. When you inspire people they act in accordance with their higher instincts, sensibly and rationally. Anger is transient, whereas inspiration sometimes has a lifelong effect.

Let us live our lives in such a way that we help to bring peace and well-being to the whole human family. Thank you for visiting our website. You are also invited to visit our center in Somerset, California.

We wish you peace.

Inner Peace is an Idea Whose Time has Come

"There is no greater block to world peace or inner peace than fear. What we fear we tend to develop an unreasoning hatred for, so we … hate and fear. If we fear nothing and radiate love, we can expect good things to come. How much this world needs the message and example of love …"     Peace Pilgrim

From around the world and across the United States, phone calls, letters and email arrive at the Peace Pilgrim Center. Your thoughtful messages are encouraging and inspiring. Thank you for sharing from your hearts. Many people ask what they can do for peace. Peace Pilgrim said, "Know that every right thing you do - every good word you say - every positive thought you think - has good effect."

She also said, "Grass-roots peace work is vitally important. In this crises period, there should be a Community Peace Fellowship in every town. Such a group can begin with a handful of concerned people. It can begin with you." The full text of "Grass-Roots Peace Activity" is found on pages 31-32 in the "Steps Toward Inner Peace" booklet which is offered free of charge by the Friends of Peace Pilgrim or can be viewed on this website.

Your smile also makes a difference. Peace said, "Smile at the world and it smiles at you." We can all use our smiles to radiate love and compassion.

The Friends of Peace Pilgrim appreciate all you do to help bring peace into our world.

We wish you peace.

A Special Message from Friends of Peace Pilgrim - Sept. 12, 2001      (back to top)

The Friends of Peace Pilgrim extend love and compassion to all who have been deeply touched by the tragedy at the World Trade Center and other related events. We belong to one human family: what affects one member of that family affects us all.

The tragedy clearly demonstrates the need for more love, understanding and compassion in dealing with our conflicts. The tremendous outpouring of love from around the world demonstrates that we have the means to transform enemies into friends. We just need to use it. Peace is available to us at all times. We humans have been given free will. We can reject fear and choose a loving solution to any situation. Our choices make a difference.

We invite you to join us in your heart by focusing on peace: peace in our world, peace in our communities, peace in our environment and the very important inner peace.

Peace Pilgrim said:

The basic conflict in our world today is not between nations. It is between two opposing beliefs. The belief that you can overcome evil with more evil, (and, of course, those people are busy multiplying the evil). Now this is the official position of every major nation in the world. This is the war way. And the belief which is my way (and I’m sure it is your way. I’m sure many people can relate to this.) The belief that evil can only be overcome by good. That is the basic conflict in our world today.”

For more information, read Peace Pilgrim’s “Steps Toward Inner Peace” which is available free to all who ask.

We wish you peace,
Friends of Peace Pilgrim
